Privacy Policy
KidScreen is a family service where parents create separate shelves of YouTube videos. KidScreen adds no feed and no recommendations.
Data we store
Parent email addresses, the family name, parent-provided child names or nicknames, and approved-video links and titles. Supabase Auth handles passwords; KidScreen never receives them in plain text.
How we use data
Only to sign parents in, create a family video shelf, and display its approved videos on a child's device. We do not create advertising profiles or sell personal data.
Who processes data
Vercel hosts the app, and Supabase stores accounts and family data. KidScreen uses YouTube API Services to obtain a video's title, author, and thumbnail through YouTube oEmbed, displays thumbnails from YouTube, and plays videos in the official youtube-nocookie.com player.
YouTube and Google
When a thumbnail or player loads, Google and YouTube may receive technical device data, including IP address, browser type, and request information. This happens before playback starts. The official player may display ads, links, and YouTube recommendations. Their YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
Child access
Each child profile has a private link and its own shelf. The link does not open the parent dashboard or provide direct database access. A parent is responsible for who receives the link.
Deleting data
In Account and data, a parent can delete their account. A regular parent deletes only their own access and account. A family owner deletes the whole family: child profiles, invitations, and added videos. This action cannot be undone.
Retention and changes
Data remains while the account exists. When these terms materially change, the date on this page will be updated before public release.
